Ivan leads a clear progression from noticing rhythm to participating in a shared movement experience. No previous dance experience is required, and students are invited rather than pressured to take part.

Students begin by listening. Ivan introduces rhythmic patterns rooted in specific cultural traditions, naming their origins and inviting the group to notice structure, repetition, and call-and-response dynamics before any movement begins.

Movement is introduced gradually. Students explore simple, repeatable patterns that connect to the rhythms they have been hearing. Ivan adjusts complexity, pacing, and physical demand to the group in the room.

Create a short sequence or collective ending suited to the group.

The session builds toward a shared creation. Students combine what they have practised into a short sequence or collective moment. The ending is shaped by the group's energy and capacity, not by a fixed choreography.
